ABSTRACT:

Cybercrime is an increasing threat to the use and safety of Medical Devices as they become increasingly more connected to each other and to the Internet. In response, the FDA has issued guidance on Cybersecurity to give Medical Device manufacturers direction on how to address the issues. This guidance is the stepping-off point for this presentation, which describes specific actions in process and in technology to develop and maintain devices that protect against cyber threats while continuing to operate effectively and safely for the patient.
