Anna Hickerson, Ph.D.

Dr. Hickerson received her BS in Engineering and Applied Science (2000) and her Ph.D. in Bioengineering
(2005) from the California Institute of Technology where she worked on cardiovascular fluid dynamics.
She joined KGI in 2005 and has worked on the design of multiple diagnostic instruments including
subsystems in sample preparation, amplification, and detection of nucleic acids. She is a listed inventor
on 15 issued US patents and has consulted for companies including Dentatek, Orqis, Tecan, and
Claremont Biosolutions. She is currently teaching Medical Devices, Product Development, and Biosignal
Processing.
