Cindy Lynch, J.D.

Cindy Lynch is an intellectual property attorney with over 20 years’ experience working with
medical device startups. Cindy has been in-house IP counsel to several medical device start-ups
including Conor Medsystems (drug delivery stents), Moximed (orthopedic joint unloading),
Simplify Medical (artificial discs), and Elixir Medical (resorbable stents). As a sole legal counsel
at medical device startups Cindy has experience in a wide variety of IP matters including
strategic patent portfolio development, freedom to operate analysis, multi-jurisdictional
litigation and litigation preparedness, invalidity analysis, patent licensing and trademark
portfolio management as well legal issues beyond IP. Cindy is a former patent examiner at the
US Patent and Trademark Office in the medical devices group.  She is currently pursuing an
MBA at SF State while consulting as IP and corporate counsel for medical device start-up
companies.
