Maria Aboytes is a medical device inventor and industry veteran with extensive, directly applicable leadership experience in Neurovascular company startup, management, R&D, scale-up and regulatory approval. Ms. Aboytes is the co-founder of Medina Medical Inc., a neurovascular company that is focused on the treatment of intracranial aneurysms. The company was acquired by Medtronic in August 2015.
Prior to Medina Medical, Ms. Aboytes was part of multiple startup companies, including Concentric Medical, where she co-invented the first Ischemic Stroke device in the world.
