Abstract: Stationary Foot Pressure Measurement System
Diagnosis of musculoskeletal disorders like plantar fasciitis is often difficult due to the inaccessibility of reliable and cost-effective foot pressure mapping systems. We have designed a sensor system which attaches to the foot to give a static pressure analysis using an Arduino. The data will provide valuable insight regarding the pressure in different areas of the foot, which can help patients purchase appropriate orthotics for their condition. Future goals of this project include displaying data as a pressure map using and improving the system to take data with the subject in motion.
